Wines That Are Made in the Vineyard
After more than a decade of growing some of eastern Washington’s most sought-after grapes, brothers Butch and Jerry Milbrandt decided it was time to grow their own wine. They knew they had something pretty special in their Wahluke Slope and Ancient Lakes vineyards after witnessing the impressive scores going to wineries that had been purchasing their grapes.
Winemaker Gordon Hill , a veteran winemaker of some of Washington’s most elite wines, joined the team in 2006 to craft the wines that proudly carry the Milbrandt family name.
Milbrandt Vineyards Sentinel Wines
Sentinel is our exclusive and very limited wine sourced from one of our best vineyard sites, Northridge Vineyard. The vines are planted in the ancient Caliche soils above the glacial floodline and produce some of the nicest grapes on the Wahluke Slope. The Sentinel Gap stands watch over our vineyards on the Wahluke Slope in Eastern Washington.
Milbrandt Vineyards Estates & Legacy Wines
The Estates & Legacy wines are sourced primarily from Milbrandt estate vineyards. Produced in limited quantities, they capture the personality of the grape and the character of the soils and climate. Intensely flavored and highly aromatic, these wines are rich, concentrated and complex.
Milbrandt Vineyards Traditions Wines
The Traditions wines blend fruit from Milbrandt estate and neighboring vineyards throughout Eastern Washington’s Columbia Valley. Forward, balanced and drinkable upon release, they focus on the character and personality of the individual grape variety.
