MILBRANDT VINEYARDS
Legacy 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, Washington State
Cabernet Sauvignon is the undisputed king of grapes. It produces wines of extraordinary concentration, style, class and longevity. Its homeland is Bordeaux where it serves as the primary component in most of the classified growths. Today, Cabernet is the most widely planted red variety in Washington State, yielding wines that are dense, lush and opulent.
The Wahluke Slope is Washington's warmest growing region. It produces wines with great concentration and texture. Our 2005 Legacy Cabernet is deeply colored and blessed with aromas of black cherry, boysenberry, currant, sweet chocolate, allspice and toasty oak. The flavors are rich, bold, balanced and layered with cassis, sweet oak and spice. The finish is long and supported by finely polished tannins.
